Entertainment has seen a huge change thanks to technology. We no longer buy music from a retail store on a physical disc, we download our favorite songs digitally via itunes or listen on lastfm, at any time of the day, no waiting for stores to open.

TV has also changed, we don't tune in at 8pm for our favorite show, we stream TV when we want it via great services like BBC iplayer, or 4OD. We even pause when we want to grab a beverage, we don't wait for the adverts to come on. Companies no longer need to spend millions on advertising campaigns, they just upload a viral video on youtube & watch as it instantly reaches millions of viewers, in short time frames.

The gaming industry has surpassed the film industry & is continuing to grow, thanks to great online social products like Xbox Live, digital distribution services like steam & of course the casual gaming market fueled by innovative products like the Nintendo Wii & online gaming portals like kongregate.com, which hosts some of the best indie & free to play titles. Even film itself, is slowly moving to digital distribution, with great services like hulu coming to the UK soon.

The problem is most people find their uncomfortable desk or tiny laptop screen difficult to replace the giant living room TV & sofas. TV's are yet to intergrate the internet so we have to place a box in our living room, we call it the GTPC (GamTek PC) often known as the HTPC (home theatre PC). A box designed to fit in with your current AV equipment, & bring the joys of sharing pictures with the entire family gathered around the big screen, streamed episodes of eastenders when you want them, showing your friends that silly youtube video you found & anything else you do with the web but from the comfort of your living room sofa.
